I have a decent vocabulary, but I had to look up stygian.. I got “of or relating to the Styx river.” How many situations could there really be where that word is appropriate???
(real answer: people use it as a fancy synonym for gloomy, or dark, or AAAAGH THEN WHY NOT USE THOSE WORDS)

Jess’ quote bubble has a braid! XD And I totally agree with her, adjectives and adverbs used in excess are pretty annoying…as are superlatives.
